Smau 2010 awards a GESP application

The application Sportello Geografico, developed jointly by GESP and GoCloud was cited among the top 10 projects, "Technology Innovation" dedicated to companies and public administrations.

Sportello Geografico is a Cloud Application for local government based on AppEngine and Google Apps for collecting records of ordinary citizens and manage their operations. It does not require any local infrastructure, greatly simplifying deployment, management and maintenance service.

Sportello Geografico is a service that allows citizens to report to the administration problems or anomalies, and to receive feedback on the actions taken. The typical process is as follows:

1. The citizen is connected to the municipal site and fills out a form to report an anomaly;

2. the system logs the request into a database;

3. depending on the type of reporting, the system automatically notifies an email with the controller;

4. the service manager via the contextual gadget occurs immediately required;

5. if the request is accepted, it will be forwarded to the planner;

6. the planner puts the request in the first "slot" available for teams at its disposal;

7. the team performs the intervention and confirms closure;

8. the system has blown on the site;

9. the system sends an email reply to the citizen who had issued the alert.

It is therefore a highly innovative service which, by directly communicating with the city administrative services, allows for greater transparency and timeliness of operations.
