The project involves the supply of :
- hardware (server and PCs),
- software: DB and GIS (in server license configuration + 1 desktop GIS),
- data (electronic maps),
- services as installation, warranty, maintenance, etc.
GIS supplied is manufactured by CADCORP (UK) as: 1 server / web license of CadCorp GeognoSIS.NET, plus 1 license of CadCorp SIS Map Modeller desktop.
Data are supplied as Satellite Imagery (SPOTMaps): SPOTMaps are seamless, uniform, ortho-rectified territorial coverages produced with 2.5-meters colour imagery acquired by the SPOT 5 satellite.
The main features of this product are: the images selected have been collected during this time frame 2006 (56%) and 2004 (44%); they are delivered in 12 tiles. Each tile is 30 x 30 kmq. In order to have the total coverage of the Area of Interest is necessary to create a natural colour mosaic and a colour balancing process (services included in the supply).
This process produces an unique image with natural colour at 2.5 m resolution of the area of interest. An image compression operation, moreover, produces, starting from the satellite images mosaic, a unique image in ECW compressed format, able to reduce data dimension and improving the speed of data access.
