Client: Snam Rete Gas (Eni Group)
The aim of SDI Project is to provide Snam Rete Gas with two applications (RILISDI for external design companies and SDI for Snam Rete Gas internal users) able to manage the design phase, the realization phase, the as-built recognition phase and the maintenance phase of their gas network and plants.
SDI and RILISDI applications are embedded in a well defined informatics system context. These two applications foresee interfaces with the already existing Snam Rete Gas Transportation Network Plants application (NGI, APAC, GIF, GUA, SIGAS Continuo) for data exchange.
SDI application is a client/server application (Bentley Microstation as CAD system and ORACLE as RDBMS) and is composed by several modules.
- SDI Legislation Module manages issues relevant to the definition of the Normative A and Normative B object characteristics. Normative A deals with each single Plant component (valve, pipe, actuator, curves, and so on). Each single component is characterized by a unique code, defined in NGI application and inherited by SDI Normativa, and by a set of proper characteristics defined by SDI Normativa. Normative B deals with the Plant design. Each standard Plant is characterized by an unique code, defined in NGI application and inherited by SDI Normativa, and by all the documents (drawings, word documents, spreadsheet documents, and so on) created in SDI Normativa, describing in detail the standard Plants itself. Each Normative A object inherits from APAC application special attributes which will be used during the as-built phase. Therefore SDI Normativa module foresees two interface with external applications; one with NGI, for unique code inherit, and one with APAC for maintenance attributes inherit.
- SDI - Design Module allows the complete design of a Plant, starting either from a standard Normative B Plant or from a non standard (not in Normative B) Plant. The registry data are inherited by GUA application and shared with SIGAS Continuo .
- SDI - As-built Module allows to perform for each Plant object, on the as built Plant, the collection of the real information relevant to the maintenance. This module allows also exchanging data coming from the field with GIF application, which deals with other attributes of the Plant components.
- SDI - Works Module allows to manage all the components (Insulation Junction, Cathode Protection Points, Measurement Points, and so on) that are devoted to protect electrically the Plant.
- SDI - Maintenance Module allows to have a complete view (with complex querying functions) on Plant components subjected to maintenance.
- SDI - DDT Module has the functionalities to create detailed sketches related to Pipeline (crosses, interferences, etc)
- RILISDI application is a stand alone application (Bentley Microstation as CAD system and Access as database) and is composed by RILISDI - Progettazione, RILISDI - As-built, RILISDI - Opere Concentrate and RILISDI - DDT. All the modules functions are the same as for SDI. RILISDI and SDI application exchange data through XML protocols.
