Client: Ministry of Environment

The Ministry of the Environment, sited in Rome (Italy), manages all the activities in matter of Environment and receives, from the local authorities, the studies of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and process them to approve or reject the projects.

To evaluate this large amount of documents, the Department of Environmental Protection turns to specialized personnel and experts to support the members of several Commissions established in the analysis of the projects and studies.

The commitment consists in the supply of two different teams of experts in matter of EIA for a period of 2 years (renewable to 4 years) to support the work of EIA Commissions established at the Ministry. These groups have to provide the following services:

• technical support in the analysis, evaluation, production of synthesis documents and cataloguing of EIA projects;
  
• secretary and administrative support in the document management and the production of technical reports, minute of meetings, etc. 
  

A relevant component of the work regards the classification and use of GIS projects and documentation in the Environmental sector: the technicians produce base and thematic maps as support to Commission in the analysis of EIA projects. 

The contract has been acquired in joint-venture with Price Waterhouse Coopers Advisory S.r.l.
