Client: Lecco Municipality
Lecco Municipality is located at North of Milan, has an extension of 47 km2 and 45.000 inhabitants.
The urban area represents the 70% of the whole territory and has a road network of about 120 km. Starting from technical cartography at 1:2.000, 1:5.000 and 1:10.000 scale, GESP designed and carried out the geo-database (Oracle and Oracle Locator technology), including all the thematic maps concerning Civil Protection Plan, Town Planning, cadastral maps, etc. and, above all, the construction of a unique code (eco-graphic code) to identify each single Urban Real Unit (URU) on the map, with the aim to connect it to the Tax database (and then to the owners through Registry Office via person’s fiscal code).
The GIS is highly integrated with the ordinary management packages and is able to geo-reference all the features (buildings, services, cadastral particles, …) inside a unique environment. Indeed the geo-database is integrated with the management Zucchetti’s software packages (Zucchetti is leader in Italy in the non-GIS Municipal applications for Registry Office, local taxes and administration).
At the moment, GESP carried out the project’s first 3 phases and is developing the applications to manage Urban Planning and the data Web publication (phase 3 and 4) based on Intergraph GeoMedia Web Map technology. The system has the scope to support the Administration:
- to identify taxes evasion in the Real Estate field (Municipal Real Duty);
- to manage the permissions to new private buildings;
- to supply better services to the citizens in matter of the local tax regulations.
Sharing a part of the information to citizens by means of Web-GIS is planned as integral part of phase 4.
The following SW items were supplied as an integral part of the project:
- n.1 Intergraph GeoMedia Web Map;
- n.1 RDBMS Oracle Standard Edition & Oracle Locator (web license).
